The dataset contains data related to the victim compensation awarded by Legal Services Institutions across India like the State and District Legal Services Authorities under section 357-A of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973. This victim compensation data is disaggregated by the state, the year in which the compensation was granted, the number of applications received and disposed of by the legal services authorities and the total compensation awarded by the respective State Legal Services Authority in a particular financial year.
