This dataset provides details of cases registered under the Child and Adolescent Labour (Prohibition and Regulation) Act, 1986. The information was collected from eCourts and includes information from 10,800 cases registered since January 1, 2015, till March 2023. The dataset covers cases from the following five states: Assam, Bihar, Jharkhand, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, and Uttar Pradesh.
Case Details
This file contains detailed court registry information for each case, including the type of case, charges applied, transfer history, judge designation, registration dates, hearing dates, disposal dates, and disposal type. In this CSV file, each row represents an individual case.
Case Transfers
This file includes details regarding transfer of cases.
Case Act and Section Details
This file provides information about the acts and sections under which each case is registered. Each row represents one section. Therefore, if a case is registered under five different sections, it will appear in five separate rows.
Standardised list of acts and sections
This file maps the act/section ID present in the Case Act and Section Details file to their standardized names.
Case History
This file contains details regarding the case hearing history of all cases. It includes variables such as hearing date, next hearing date, purpose of hearing, etc.

Reclassified Variables (Zipped)
This zipped folder contains files for reclassifying (or standardising) variables. These variables are Act Names, Case Outcome, Case Type, Judge Designation, and Purpose of Hearing.
