This dataset contains the list of goods that obtained the Geographical Indications (GI) tag and were registered under the Geographical Indications of Goods (Registration & Protection) Act of 1999 from the years 2004 to 2023. The data is disaggregated by the application number, the year in which the good was registered, the name of the good or the geographical indication, the category that the good belongs to and the geographical location to which the registered good belongs. Using this dataset one can analyse the number of GIs registered every year, the category-wise number of GIs and the state-wise number of goods that obtained GI tags.
