This provision is for meeting the administrative expenditures of the Assam Rifles. It conducts counter insurgency operations in the north-east and other areas where deemed necessary, under control of the army. During peace and ‘proxy war’, ensures security of the indo-china and indo-myanmar borders. It acts as the penultimate interventionist force of the central government in internal security situation, under the control of army; when the situation goes beyond the control of central paramilitary operations.

The dataset contains time series data of the union budgets for the scheme - Assam Rifles. The dataset contains several indicators such as Budget Estimates, Revised Estimates, Actual Expenditure, Actual Expenditure as a percentage of Ministry, Fund Utilisation. The raw dataset have been sourced from OpenBudgetsIndia Platform.
