A Home for Widows, namely Krishna Kutir fully funded by Govt. of India, Ministry of Women and Child Development with a capacity of 1000 inmates has been constructed at Vrindavan, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh to provide the widows a safe and secure place of stay, nutritious food, health services, legal and counseling services. It has facilities to make it old age friendly like ramp, lifts and provision for physiotherapy.

The dataset contains time series data of the union budgets for the scheme - Home for Widows. The dataset contains several indicators such as Budget Estimates, Revised Estimates, Actual Expenditure, Actual Expenditure as a percentage of Ministry, Fund Utilisation. The raw dataset have been sourced from OpenBudgetsIndia Platform.

All scheme related metadata which includes non-budget information such as scheme description, type of scheme, etc. The dataset has been sourced from the respective websites of the ministry and department.

The codebook contains details such as definition, type, values, format, etc. about the variables present in the datasheet
